One credit covers one saved purchase and all its items. You start with one free credit. Extra credits are one-time purchases, never expire, and are not a subscription. You handle returns with the retailer and confirm refunds yourself.
Purchase credits · Billing and refunds · Your data · Contact1. About These Terms
These terms govern Keep or Return and its related online features, provided by GuruApps LLC, an independent app studio in Tbilisi, Georgia ("GuruApps," "we," or "us"). By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
These app-specific terms supplement the GuruApps Terms of Use and take priority if those general terms conflict with the Keep or Return services described here. The app software is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), unless a different EULA is presented in the App Store. These service terms do not replace that software licence or Apple’s applicable purchase terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. What Keep or Return Does
Keep or Return helps you organise retail purchases and their items, prepare details from receipts, record keep-or-return decisions, ask friends through private voting links, set reminders, add deadlines to your calendar, and track returns and expected refunds.
Keep or Return is not a retailer, carrier, bank, payment service, or returns agent. We do not arrange or process your retail returns, create retailer shipping labels, issue refunds, access your bank account, or automatically verify whether an item was returned or money arrived. Retailer policies and your rights against retailers apply independently.
3. Guest Use, Accounts, and Connectivity
You can begin as a guest without a visible sign-in. A guest account supports online features and your initial credit. Sign in with Apple is required to buy additional credits and sync account data between devices. Keep access to the same Apple sign-in identity to recover your account and unused balance.
Guest access depends on your device’s stored credentials. Device erasure, loss of those credentials, or changing devices can make a guest account unrecoverable. Sign in with Apple for account continuity. An internet connection is required to check your credit balance, save new purchases, scan receipts online, sync, buy credits, and use friend voting. Existing locally available data may remain viewable without a connection.
4. Purchase Credits
- Starting credit: a new billing account receives one free purchase credit, including when you start as a guest. Linking a guest to an Apple account, reinstalling, or clearing app data does not entitle you to repeated free credits.
- One credit, one purchase: a credit is consumed when a new purchase is successfully saved. It covers all items in that purchase and the associated receipt capture, friend voting, return tracking, and refund tracking.
- No extra charge for follow-through: opening or cancelling a purchase entry, scanning a receipt, editing an existing purchase, voting, and updating its return or refund status do not consume additional purchase credits. An unsuccessful save does not consume a credit. A save in progress may temporarily reserve one credit while the app confirms the result.
- Deleting is not undoing a purchase: deleting a successfully saved purchase does not return its consumed credit. A new saved purchase uses another credit.
- Optional packs: additional credits are sold in packs of 5, 15, or 25 as consumable, one-time in-app purchases through Apple. There is no subscription, automatic renewal, or recurring credit charge.
- No expiry: free and purchased credits do not expire with time.
- Use in this app: credits are units of app functionality, not money, store credit, gift cards, or credit toward a retailer’s goods. They cannot be sold, transferred to another app account, or redeemed for cash, except where a refund or remedy is required by applicable law or Apple’s rules.
5. Apple Billing, Delivery, and Refunds
The App Store displays the pack, local price, currency, and applicable tax information before you confirm a purchase. Apple processes payment using your Apple Account. A cancelled or pending payment does not grant credits; credits are added after a verified transaction is fulfilled. If a completed purchase has not appeared, use the app’s restore/check option while signed in and online, or contact support with your transaction reference. Do not buy the same pack again merely to resolve missing delivery.
Credit packs are consumable purchases. Apple’s ordinary restoration of non-consumable purchases does not replenish credits you have spent. Keep or Return’s restore/check flow retries unfinished deliveries and retrieves the unused balance from your signed-in account. A verified transaction is credited once. See Apple’s guidance on restoring in-app purchases.
To request a refund for an app credit purchase, use Apple’s Report a Problem service. Eligibility depends on Apple’s rules, your circumstances, and applicable law; approval is not guaranteed. See Apple’s refund instructions. If Apple refunds or revokes a credit transaction, the corresponding credits may be removed or the balance adjusted to prevent continued use of refunded credits. This does not affect any mandatory consumer remedy.
A refund for app credits is separate from a refund for something you bought from a retailer. Contact the retailer about retail refunds; the app only records the status you enter.
6. Receipt Scanning, Deadlines, and Reminders
Receipt scanning, including AI-assisted extraction, prepares a draft for your review. Text, prices, dates, currencies, items, and return windows may be incomplete or incorrect. Check and correct the results before saving. Confirm return eligibility, exceptions, deadlines, required packaging, and proof of purchase directly with the retailer. A suggested deadline does not establish a right to return an item.
Reminders depend on your permissions, device settings, operating system, and, for online notifications, connectivity and service availability. Calendar entries are created at your request. Notifications may be delayed or missed. Keep your own record of important deadlines; the app cannot guarantee that you will meet a deadline or receive a retail refund.
7. Private Voting and Your Content
You retain ownership of the receipts, photos, notes, questions, and other content you provide. You give us permission to process, store, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate the features you use, including showing your selected details to voting-link visitors.
Voting links are unlisted, not identity-verified invitations. Anyone with an active link may view the selected details and vote, including someone to whom it is forwarded. Share links with care and use the available expiry, closure, or revocation controls. We cannot remove screenshots or copies already saved by recipients. Anonymous vote controls cannot guarantee one vote per real person. Votes are opinions; you make the final decision.
Only upload and share material you have the right to use. Do not post unlawful, infringing, harassing, abusive, or exploitative content, expose someone else’s private information without permission, manipulate votes, bypass credit controls, or attack the service. Report harmful content or a problematic voting link to davit@guru-apps.com. We may remove content or restrict access to address misuse, security concerns, or legal obligations.
8. Privacy and Deletion
The Keep or Return section of our Privacy Policy explains receipt processing through SashiDo and OpenAI, cloud storage and sync, private voting, Apple sign-in and purchases, notifications, analytics, and retention.
You can delete your account from Profile. Account deletion removes the associated app account, cloud data, private voting links, and unused credit balance, subject to the limited record retention described in our Privacy Policy. Account deletion does not automatically request an Apple refund. If you have unused purchased credits, contact support or request an eligible Apple refund before deleting your account. This does not restrict your right to delete personal data.
Removing local app data or uninstalling is not the same as deleting your cloud account and does not reset credit usage. See our data deletion instructions for help, including guest accounts.
9. Availability and Changes
We may maintain, update, or change features and temporarily interrupt online services. Credit non-expiry is not a promise of perpetual operation of the service. If we plan a material change affecting unused paid credits or discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and address unused paid credits through an appropriate remedy required by applicable law and Apple’s rules. We will not impose a time-based expiry on purchased credits.
We may suspend access for serious misuse or security reasons, subject to applicable law. We may update these terms and will revise the date above; material changes will be communicated as required. Changes do not retroactively remove mandatory rights or remedies attached to purchases already made.
10. Responsibility and Consumer Rights
We work to provide a useful and reliable app. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, perfect extraction, or any particular decision, return, or refund outcome. You are responsible for reviewing your records and dealing with retailers.
To the extent permitted by law, GuruApps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits rights under applicable consumer law, or overrides Apple’s applicable warranty or refund obligations under the Standard EULA and purchase terms.
