Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the DuoPrompt mobile application and its related services (“DuoPrompt” or the “App”), operated by GuruApps LLC, based in Tbilisi, Georgia (“GuruApps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using DuoPrompt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your country, to use DuoPrompt. If you have not reached the age at which you can enter into a binding agreement, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and authorize your use.

If you use DuoPrompt on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. About DuoPrompt

DuoPrompt provides tools for writing and importing scripts, displaying teleprompter text, recording video and audio, reviewing recordings, and exporting or sharing your videos.

Some features, including camera modes, recording resolutions, frame rates, outer-display prompting, and fill lighting, depend on your device, operating system, permissions, and hardware availability.

Camera and microphone access are required for recording. Permission to add content to Photos is required when saving recordings to your photo library. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working.

Text extracted from imported documents, including scanned PDFs, may contain recognition or formatting errors. You should review imported scripts before using them.

3. Apple License and Other Terms

Your license to use the App is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it. If a provision conflicts with Apple’s Standard EULA regarding the software license, the Standard EULA controls.

Apple’s applicable terms also govern your use of the App Store and its purchasing services.

These Terms take priority over the general GuruApps Terms where they conflict concerning DuoPrompt. In particular, you may use DuoPrompt to create content for personal, professional, and commercial purposes, provided you comply with these Terms and have the necessary rights to that content.

4. Subscriptions and Free Trials

Access to DuoPrompt’s main features, including its script library and recording tools, requires an active subscription or eligible free trial.

DuoPrompt offers a monthly auto-renewing subscription. The price, currency, billing period, applicable taxes, and available introductory offer are displayed before you confirm your purchase. Prices and offers may vary by country and eligibility.

Eligible users may receive a three-day free trial. The offer shown in Apple’s purchase confirmation determines the trial available to you. When the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid subscription unless you cancel in time.

Payment is processed through your Apple Account. For purchases without a trial, payment is charged when you confirm the purchase. For eligible trials, paid billing begins when the trial ends.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. Apple may process renewal charges during the 24 hours before the next billing period. Subscription price changes are subject to applicable notice and consent requirements and Apple’s rules. See the Apple Media Services Terms.

5. Cancellation, Restoration, and Refunds

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DuoPrompt, or through the subscription management option in the App.

To avoid a renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or current billing period ends. Deleting DuoPrompt or stopping use of the App does not cancel your subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.

After canceling a paid subscription, access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid period. Trial access may end earlier depending on the offer and Apple’s rules. Your Apple subscription settings show the applicable expiration date.

You can use Restore Purchases to restore an eligible subscription associated with your Apple Account. Restoring a subscription restores access; it does not restore scripts or recordings that are no longer stored on your device.

Refund requests for App Store purchases can be submitted through Apple’s refund request service. Eligibility depends on the circumstances, your country, Apple’s policies, and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or other remedy you are legally entitled to receive. See Apple’s refund guidance.

6. Your Scripts and Recordings

You retain your rights in the scripts, documents, recordings, and other content you create or use with DuoPrompt (“Your Content”). GuruApps does not acquire ownership of Your Content through your use of the App.

You authorize the App to process Your Content as needed to perform the features you choose, such as importing documents, displaying scripts, recording video, and exporting files. These Terms do not grant us permission to publish Your Content or use it in advertising.

You are responsible for obtaining the rights and permissions needed to import, record, reproduce, or share content. This includes permissions relating to copyrighted material, music, images, voices, likenesses, and private information.

You must comply with applicable recording and privacy laws and obtain any required consent from people you record.

7. Local Storage and Backups

DuoPrompt stores scripts, settings, and recordings locally on your device. The App does not provide a GuruApps-operated cloud backup or synchronization service for this content. Device backups and exported copies may be handled separately by Apple or other services you choose.

You are responsible for keeping independent copies of important scripts and recordings. Files may become unavailable following deletion, device loss, storage failure, or removal of the App.

When your subscription or trial expires, access to the library and other subscription features is restricted, including access to saved content through the App. Expiration does not itself delete your local scripts or recordings. Export important videos and keep separate copies of scripts before your access ends.

Copies already exported to Photos, Files, or another service are managed separately from the App.

8. Acceptable Use

You must not use DuoPrompt to:

• Violate applicable law or another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Make unlawful recordings or distribute content without required permissions.
• Carry out fraud, unlawful impersonation, threats, or harassment.
• Bypass subscription verification or other access controls.
• Introduce malicious software or interfere with the App’s operation or security.
• Copy, redistribute, sell, or sublicense the App without authorization.
• Reverse engineer or modify the App except where permitted by applicable law or an applicable open-source license.

These restrictions do not prevent you from selling, publishing, or otherwise commercially using content that you lawfully create with DuoPrompt.

9. Privacy and Third-Party Services

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and how you can contact us about your privacy rights.

DuoPrompt uses Firebase Analytics to understand App usage, including screen views and automatically collected usage information. Our custom screen-view events do not include your script titles, script text, or recording content.

Apple processes App Store purchases. If you export or share content through another application or service, that provider handles the shared content under its own terms and privacy practices.

Accepting these Terms does not replace any separate permission or consent required by privacy law.

10. Our Intellectual Property

The DuoPrompt software, branding, interface, graphics, and other materials supplied by GuruApps belong to GuruApps or its licensors.

Except for the rights expressly granted under the applicable license, using DuoPrompt does not transfer ownership of these materials to you. This provision does not affect your ownership of Your Content.

11. Updates, Availability, and Termination

We may update DuoPrompt to improve functionality, address security issues, meet legal requirements, or respond to changes in supported devices and operating systems.

If a change materially reduces paid functionality or we discontinue the App, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable and honor any applicable cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights.

We may terminate your permission to use DuoPrompt if you materially violate these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the violation. Immediate action may be necessary where required by law or to address serious misuse.

You may stop using DuoPrompt at any time. Stopping use or termination of your permission to use the App does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; manage that subscription through Apple.

12. Warranties and Liability

We aim to provide a reliable App, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free document recognition, successful recording in every situation, or compatibility with every device configuration.

Subject to mandatory legal rights and any express commitments we make, DuoPrompt is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, GuruApps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of DuoPrompt.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to DuoPrompt, our business, or legal requirements.

We will publish the updated Terms with a revised date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the App, our website, or another appropriate channel. Where required by law, we will obtain your agreement before a change takes effect.

Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you may stop using DuoPrompt and cancel future subscription renewals, without losing any rights or remedies provided by law.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, the country, subject to any mandatory protections available under the laws of your place of residence.

Nothing in these Terms removes your right to bring a claim before a court or authority available to you under applicable consumer protection laws.

If you have a complaint, please contact us using the details below so we can try to resolve it. Contacting us first is not a condition for exercising your legal rights.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
